Programs and Courses
Changes in Enrollment Procedures - Effective March 3, 2008
The KYVC catalog provides information on both college
credit and professional training distance learning programs and courses, however the KYVC will no longer process requests for enrollment for
most college credit courses. Please see the instructions below as to how your enrollment will be processed.
College and University Credit Courses
For those requesting college credit courses, the KYVC will no longer automatically enroll you in a course using the Educart. Instead, you will click on the "Send Inquiry to Provider" link displaying in the "Select" field. This link will load a form which you'll complete, and upon submission the KYVC will forward your course inquiry to the appropriate institution. The institution then will get back to you regarding enrollment procedures. Please note that submitting a course inquiry is not an automatic enrollment in a course. You will need to wait for a response from the institution in order to begin the enrollment process.
KCTCS Students
If you are seeking enrollment into courses from your home
college, you should apply to that college directly. If you are seeking enrollment in courses from providers
other than your home college you may now request a contact for additional
information through KYVC. ("Home College" refers to the KCTCS college where you have applied and are accepted. Your home college will advise you, bill you, provide your grades/transcripts, maintain your financial aid paperwork and confer earned credentials. If you do not recall, or do not have a KCTCS Home College, select the KCTCS college nearest you, or the college offering the course, and the KCTCS distance learning advisor responding to your inquiry will assist you. The Distance Learning website (www.kctcs.edu/distancelearning) provides quick links about KCTCS distance education and service.)
Courses for State Government Agency Employees and Learn Anytime Participants
For many professional training courses and programs you
can request enrollment online directly through KYVC. Enrollment procedures using the Educart will remain the same.
